Educators demonstrate a broad knowledge base and an understanding of areas they teach.
The above is a picture of one of the sections of my formal report, in which my coaching teacher noted that my “knowledge of course content is strong.” In that particular practicum, I taught a unit on Grammar, and part of a unit on Descriptive Writing to an English 8 class.
If you scroll down, you can take a look at the list of courses that I took in my undergraduate degree. I majored in English and minored in Global & International Studies. You can notice that my focus for my English degree was mainly literature and film studies; however, I explored a broad range of topics.
By experiencing such a broad range of topics in English, I believe I have a strong and broad knowledge base in English Language Arts.
